Also be aware that loading the Magtech hulls can be a bit time consuming as you cannot remove the primers (large pistol primers are used) with your press unless you make special dies, assuming you have one. If not, never mind, just use a punch that is ground so you can feel the center of the old primer and knock it into a recess. I use a RCBS tool to seat the new primer; I'm not sure they still sell it, but it's a simple cam that drives the priming tool and you have to use a 12 Ga. shell holder. If there is a better priming tool I'd like to see it as this is a bit fiddly.
I use a 11 ga. card under the lubed 11 gauge wad and one over, as well as an overshot card that I've sealed with silicate of soda in the past, but now use 10 gauge cards because they are big enough to stay put just by friction. A dab of Duco cement or caulk or nail polish if you're concerned about carrying them in the field. I don't have a press to pack it all in, so I use a wooden dowel that I turned that just fits in the case and lets me put some weight on it. I use an old .45-70 cartridge that I cut down to get the exact load of black powder that I want (4.3 cc) and it works good for me. I also dip the shot charge.
I've been tempted to buy the much more expensive brass hulls that use the normal 209 primers, but can't find them anymore. Rocky Mountain Cartridge MAY sell them, but their web site doesn't mention the primer size and they want $7.50 each for the hulls.
