The guns of Martn Ugarteburu (MU) are seldom seen here in the USA, other than the occasional 10 gauge box lock or the model 108 entry level side lock. Thats a pity, since he did some really nice work
Like just about all of the Spanish, pre-DIARM, artisanal shotgun makers MU made shotguns to every price point at which a market existed. As with all the makers, his higher price point guns ran from outstanding to stunningly beautiful.
When Im scanning the auctions for Spanish shotguns Martn Ugarteburu is a name at the top of my most desirable list. Unfortunately its also one of the names Im least likely to see, as relatively few were imported into the US.
