It seems with the evidence we have, little as it is, that the Guyot boxlocks were built manly in the Belgium trade, is it possible that all were built by Auguste Francotte & Sons? But, what of their sidelocks? Were they also built in the Belgium trade possibly from De Fourney, August Lebeau, Neumann & Company, or possibly Jules Bury, who many consider the equal of James Purdey? Of the French, possibly Henri Guiscard, Georges Granger or possibly a small anonymous maker or makers within the French trade similar to Belgium?
I see that most of our English or European brethren have politely remained silent.
There has to be a damn mark on there somewhere.
