I've got an Ithaca/SKB 200E 12 that I'm considering restoring. It was my fathers so this is a sentimental project so it's worthwhile for me. It has a cracked stock. The 'raybar' bead is half gone and I'd like to get rid of the other half.

The question is, does my gunsmith need to take any precautions re-bluing this gun? Is there soft solder as on older doubles?

Thanks
