FWIW, you get a bit more flannel if your pajamas have feet in them.
I use the free white paper towels at the club and TTC [Ted's Terminal Cotton] patches at home. I may have to prevail on the club to buy better paper towels.
You have to love Joe, the birds are everywhere in his neck o' the woods, but the season is yet to open. Makes for 'high twitch' anticipation.
Will they still be there when the season opens?

That's a good tip. Last rolls of shop towels I bought were off brand and very poor quality . I cut mine into quarters 4 fold pushed on a wood rod. Will look for the Pros,

FWIW, you get a bit more flannel if your pajamas have feet in them. I would be in the doghouse for sure if I ever used my wife's flannel 'Jammies' for cleaning patches.

Who buys new underwear every year? I still have underwear that is from the Clinton era... My Mom. Under the tree at Christmas, reliable as the sun rising up in the east. When I was a kid, she always pointed out that if I ended up in the hospital or the morgue, she would be blamed as a bad Mother, for not teaching me any better, if I was wearing crummy clothes. She bought me my first shotgun, an Italian folding 12 gauge hammerless single shot, when I was 14. She is the best Mom on earth, and I will have decent undies on if I end up at either of the above, per her instruction. Unless I'm under the car working, but, she always asks if I need new coveralls, and my old pair is good enough, mostly. The lesson of shame is lost on quite a few kids there days. Best, Ted

Never tried the underwear, mine usually end up like Stan's, pretty thin. I have found that my old socks work well though. I wear white, mid calf length athletic socks till they develop a hole, usually in the heel, then give them a final wash and retire them for cleaning. I can push the entire sock through a 12 bore with a stout cleaning rod (after a little scrubbing with Hoppes #9 of course) and they do a wonderful job of wiping things clean. My wife won't sew the socks and insists on buying me packs of new ones so I always have a nice supply of "cleaning socks" on hand.
