I picked this up at a estate sale quite a few years ago and have found near zero info on it. The owner let his nephew take it apart but remarkably it still functions well and is in good shape for 100 plus year old gun. Everyone who knows about antique guns says it appears to be pre WWI and it's a 9.2 or 9.3 mm rifle barrel and judging by the shell holders on the but probably 72mm long. One fella said Scherell mainly made double shotguns but he had never heard of a drilling by him.
Everything on the gun is engraved except the barrels and there are many
cartouche's on the receiver and under the barrels and the only thing I've defined just a couple one being it is certianly German and the other proof tested. Everything else seems to be a mystery. Even to RIA and James D Julia, if they did know anything about it they didn't share and made a quite frankly offencive offer and what they though was the value. I have had on offer substantially higher from a old collector who just wanted it to hang on his wall.
Here are some pics and I'll post more on how I fixed the right shotgun firing pin and my thoughts on how to fabracate and install the live barrel indicators (that the nephew lost).
