Could anyone recommend a gunsmith to convert a single trigger gun to a double trigger gun? It's a Rizzini that has two trigger slots in the trigger plate. I even have two unfinished triggers. Also, any idea of the price? Looking inside the action, it seems that it would be a pretty straight forward conversion, with no extra parts needed.

Cole's converted a Beretta single to double for me and did a great job. Don't forget you will need a new trigger bow.

I just recently called Coles about a DT conversion and they said they don't do them anymore because they can't get parts.

Presumably Cole's was referring to Beretta - I wonder if that is also the case with Rizzini? I know Guerini still offers DTs and DT conversions for their guns. The Guerinis are built on the same Brescia action as Rizzini - but it would be too happy an accident if Guerini DT parts could be used in a Rizzini.

I have done the double trigger conversion on a Berretta in the past. Very easy, IF you can get the parts. I bought them from Cole's. I would suggest contacting Rizzini directly and inquiring as to the availability.

I will contact Rizzini USA.
From looking into the action, it would appear that "fewer" parts would be needed to go to a double trigger mechanism. The barrel selector will need to be locked, the inertial block removed, a new trigger axle installed, but the hole for the axle exists, new triggers located, etc. I already have a set of unfitted triggers as I mentioned above.
Let me see if I can find the parts.

I've talked with the folks at Rizzini USA in Utah about doing a DT conversion. They indicated it wasn't a big deal to do. I forget the exact cost but I though it reasonable.

I've also looked at the parts list and have had my Rizzini's apart. I feel if I had the parts I could easily do it myself. They are made from the factory to be either single or DT.

Another person to talk to is Dave Moore at William Larkin & Moore. I understand they have done DT conversions in their shop when they were the Rizzini importer.
