I found new production 12ga 3" Ithaca 37 Turkey Slayer full camo with barrel length of about 25". I can use this gun for both Turkey Hunting and Wildfowling. The receiver is tapped for optic mounting so with change of choke tube to cyl, 1/4 or rifled tube I would like to use the gun for close range <100m big game hunting. This being Turkey gun is the barrel overbored? If so that would be good for heavy charges of turkey or goose loads but not so good for slug shooting. Does anyone know? If it is overbore are slugs likely to produce acceptable groups. The gun has enough weight to handle magnum loads and recoil pad with Ithaca logo is of very good quality (most likely Limbsaver or Kickeeze manufacture) Thank you for all feedback good and bad.
