I'm one of those few, apparently, that the Red Labels and Gold Labels fit. Either that, or because the Red Label was my first O/U, I don't know any better. The Red Label may be a bit heavier, but I can shoot it all day without a flinch or bruise.
The Gold Label fits, apparently, only because I'm used to the Red Label and don't know any better. To my eye, it's a very pretty shotgun and the wood is much better than the "table leg rejects" on my Red Labels. It's a lot lighter, but I can shoot it all day too. It may not be as refined as some of the foriegn stuff, but it's shootable for me and the durability is great. There aren't many other American-made affordable choices.(That's still important to me.)
I've got an AYA, Simson, Bernadelli and a Merkel, but the Rugers are usually my "go to" guns.
