Thanks Stan! I shouldn't complain about not being able to hunt, when there are many families in N ID and E WA that have lost homes and structures and whole towns are on heightened evacuation alerts or have been evacuated due to the wildfire threat.

Alright all you early birds ........... Texans, Ohioans, Arizonians, Tennesseans, etc. Monday is your day. Are you ready? And do your seasons open at sunrise, or at 12 noon, like ours always do on opening day?

Jim, is your Repro a splinter forend or a beavertail? Straight grip and double triggers is an awesome combination. My beavertail version is serial number 28-3284. They told me it was one of an identical three gun consecutive set. I'm still looking for one of the others consecutive to mine.

I just got home from one last 5 stand practice for the GA opener next weekend and scouting the sunflower field we'll shoot. Never seen such tame birds. Why they barely fly at all! I parked my truck next to a wet spot on the edge and there were 30 on the ground and in the sunflower heads within 10 yards of me. They kept flying to the wet spot to water right outside my truck window. What could possibly go wrong???...Geo

Ohio opener is 1sept. The draw (limited draw) starts at noon, 15 bird limit. All other access is day light to dusk.
I got lucky again this year and was drawn for Fallsville, am taking the dog out in the am to retrieve for anyone that wants us too. Then heading down the road to Fallsville.
Have decided to pack two guns, the AYA #1 in 410, and the CSMC RBL in 20 gauge .

Good luck, 28. I'll be thinking about ya'll tomorrow, while I wait, and wait, and wait, and ........ - sorry. Take pics if you can. Glad you're taking the little gun.

All my best, SRH

Tight, Geo., they're gonna be going straightaway. It takes a good dose of shot to penetrate to the vitals from the rear. But, don't count on them being like that once the shooting starts. Just when you think you've got 'em all figured out .................. blush

Good luck, SRH
