LGF: I've had a chance to re-read some of this, and I wanted to ask about the timing of the thousand year long cooling event called the Younger Dryas that Ken61 mentioned. Does this correspond with the worldwide megafauna dieoff that you discussed? Arguably, you covered that with your assertion that other, previous climate events didn't have a comparable extinction event, but....how confident are you about the data from those previous known climate events? Lots of data seems to get "cooked" anymore, massaged and then published as a means of swaying public opinion. I has made me much more of a cynic than I ever was in my youth.
