Kirk Merrington. Might be others, but, I know he can work a trigger.

If I had to speculate, I'd guess your gun came second hand after somebody got a case of the flinches, and tried lightening the trigger, thinking that would help.
If it has been worked on, it might be tough to get it back to a heavier pull. Might be a candidate for a release trigger.
