I like the TriTronics. I have owned other brands but the Tritronics is my favorite.
The cover got very tall and thick around here last year. So last season I got my GPS collar back out, the Garmin. I am running French Brittanys, relatively small, tailless dogs. Haven't tried out the Garmin Alpha. I won't put a training collar and a GPS on a dog at the same time because of fear of interference causing the training collar to correct when I don't want it to. So if you want to both track and correct the Alpha seems the way to go to me.
I hunt my dogs without training collars but I use training collars for training.
Garmin/Tritronics is a good brand. GPS collars greatly reduce the stress of hunting a big running tailless dog.
