I just talked to Kari at B&P about their 2 5/8" 12 and 16 shells. This may have been posted already, but they are going to not carry their 2 5/8" 16's after the supply is gone. The 2 5/8" 12 subsonic shells are going to suffer the same fate.I had ordered some of the 12's because of the length,5800+ PSI pressures and $71.00 price. The 2 1/2 high pheasant may be suffering the same fate.

They still have some of both and high pheasant, but in limited sizes of shot. After that it sounds as though the short shell length availability is in question.

Hmmm, they must be getting out of 16 ga. ammo because they only offer 2 5/8" loads in 16 gauge.

Most 16 ga M-12s do not reliably eject fired 2 3/4" domestic hulls. Empties that just slightly exceed 2 3/4" do not clear the port. And no, I am not referring only to sub-500k SN M-12s with 2 9/16" chambers.

RGLs are a best bet among domestics, with only an occasional excessively long hull. It goes downhill from there.

B&P 16s are stout, but among the very best performing field loads, IME. They do not hang up in M-12s.

Option of using 2.5" RST, Polywad, etc. remain.

Kari told me a year ago that the new owners of B&P were only interested in keeping "HIGH VOLUME" loadings in the line up & that this was likely to happen.

I really like the B&P High Pheasant in both 1 oz & 1 1/16 oz & I've set in a good supply. Too bad that you can't convince most people that these make good loads for both 2 1/2" & 2 3/4" guns & that you don't need 1 3/8 oz @ 1450 fps to kill birds.

The 16 ga F2 1 1/16 oz is also a good killing load but the recoil is severe if your 16ga is around 6 lbs. It's likely a great load in something the weight of 16 ga Model 12 or Model 21

I had to think about that one too, but I'm guessing Remington Game Load.

At one time I had quite a collection of empty hulls, foreign and domestic. Maybe I chose the wrong ones, but ALL of those hulls, including the factory 2 3/4" variety, measured shorter than 2 3/4". The 2 3/4 were quite close to that, maybe just 1/16 or so shorter. But none longer.

I am down to three, but owned and/or just messed with about a half dozen more. If yours cycles all domestic 2 3/4" 16 ga brands without fail.......keep that one forever cuz you won the lottery.

Agree they are the "best swinging pump"(s) on the planet, though, and worth the extra hassle.
