Hopefully the winning bidder will realize something is out of the norm when he receives this 1903. If it in fact is not cut nor D&T for a Lyman 48 and is a NRA sporter, it would have to fit into the truly unique and one of a kind classification. I know I would have been on here instantly going "HELP what have I got?" once I unwrapped it.

Hopefully the 1895 will be here in a couple of weeks, just waiting for the Auction Co. to bill me. I have a C&R so no middle man once that happens. I'll post pics since it is definitely a C&C single barrel sporting rifle. I suspect the stock is a late addition, but we will see.
