I went to North Louisiana last weekend for a birthday celebration. We celebrated Mr. Browns's 90 th birthday a week early.
He is a very interesting gentleman, having spent most of his working life in law enforcement, except for a stint in WWII. He was drafted into the Marines and then transfered to the Army as an MP. Before going to England he was assigned as a guard/courier for Gen. Eisenhower and other dignitaries. Has papers to prove it.
Anyway that part of the state when I was growing up was cotton, then soybeans, now corn with some rice. Corn was 4 to 6 feet tall, and with rain looks good.
