I never had to do it, but if I had to, I'd try fingernail polish. Your wife probably has a color she doesn't like anymore, mine always did. First, I'd try some on an old barrel or piece of steel and see if the touch-up blue would react with the nail polish, or lift it and get under it. If not, I'd paint the surrounding metal with it, touch up the blue on the sight base, then remove the polish with acetone. Enamel paint might work, too. Would just use some paint remover to remove it after touch up.
