OK, who got this one? I went over yesterday and looked at it, very nice rifle. Lots of character. Looks like it was carried for miles and hunted hard, but taken care of. Unfortunately someone more recently decided to alter the bolt and drill and tap the receiver. Was a fine rifle in it's day, and not beyond returning to it's former glory if someone took the time. http://www.rockislandauction.com/viewitem/aid/1025/lid/674John

That was a nice gun fore sure, what was the engraving like? Could you tell whether it was done by an engraver in the states or done possibly in Europe? Hopefully the person who got it will share more pics here.

I coudn't remember where I had seen that rifle before until I clicked on the link. What did it sell for? All I see is the estimated price.

With it being a KURZ [Short] action it is more likely chambered in 250/3000 Savage. Just a thought.
