Before and after pics of electrolysis process below. Only abrasive used is some 0000 steel wool to scrub off the residue created by the process. Scrubbed with warm water and dish soap, then oiled. Several dry wads of paper towel pushed through the bores. Then oiled.

The damascus pattern doesn't pop, but much, much better than they started.
