I swear, those threads read like a bad excursion to the cesspool on this site.

With regards to detonations, anything that changes the burn rate of a powder can cause a shell to detonate.

A common one was micro loading 30-06 cartridges for varmints. The powder rolls around in the long case and grinds itself so finely it detonates in the case rather than steadily burning.

I've not heard of any Rottweil barrels splitting at the monoblock.
