Most of "us" like straight grip and splinter but we are a minority. This gun is aimed not at die hard clay target shooter with an O/U but at those who like the idea of SxS but think pistol grips and big fore ends are easier to shoot. Demographics for the masses not the purist.
I don't know who "us" is here, KY, but I've got a little piece of news for you; those of us who are "die hard clay target shooters" know that pistol grips and semi-beavertail forends are most definitely more controllable and easier to shoot/hit your target with than a classic British game gun. It's why the Win. 21 has such a following and reputation.
For the purist who mostly totes and gazes upon his shotgun, the double trigger/splinter/straight grip is just the ticket.
