Hey Jack,How close did you look the 1960 Purdey "Order Form Over" I remember Tom Purdey, In between"Small Glass's of Scotch",in the 'Old" Long -Room( back when I was 15yrs old,) saying to Harry Lawrence"Dammed Yanks want to call the 'Bend" something like'Droop'!!!!!!So, Purdeys used the term Gauge...and Bore!!!!Remember there is the Btitish Terminology, Then the English Terms, Then the Others would follow.....Brummies, Scouse's,Scottie's....I well remember a American Chappie' at the SCI, Several Years ago,Telling McKey Brown,"You Brits just cant get it Right for us Americans'!!!It took Nelson,Myself,and 1 Other to keep'McKilt" from spreading the news' That you dont call a Scottish Gunmaker a"Brit".Monty Python would have had a great 'Skit' from this Thread!!!!I'm glad that no Humor worked its way into this!!!!Crossedchisles. pee-ess, I had to pay $200. for that original JP&S Catl.
