"Prussian Charles Daly Imports", a newsletter/almost a book arrived. It has wonderful info and pictures of the Daly imports. Congratulations and thanks to Raimey, Tom Devers, Ken Georgi, and Richard Hummel for putting all of that work into the book. Lots of info attributed to Hans Pfingsten [in memorian] A really unexpected surprise.

"Daryl," how can I acquire a copy of the newly announced / released work, "Prussian Charles Daly Imports"? Presumably, a substantial number of correspondents here will be equally interested in its acquisition. This is a truly signal development, and though long anticipated, yet unexpected. The accomplishment on the part of the gentlemen mentioned who participated in this project, to include the late Hans Pfingsten, is very much appreciated and welcomed.
As a recently 'reoriented' collector and user afield of these exceptionally fine Charles Daly guns (Still weaning myself from single-mindedly collecting and shooting U.K. game guns.), largely because of what I read on this very site, my thanks to all those involved for their efforts and especially for publishing this much needed information on the subject. The dearth of information concerning the Daly guns has been daunting to those of us interested in provenance and attribution. Fortunately, for my purposes, I have always found a wealth of information on this website.
As well, on many occasions, I have received personal benefit of their respective and collective knowledge base anent Prussian Charles Daly guns, where my questions have been well-answered by these same individuals. And I look forward to being able to fill-in many of the historical gaps that puzzle me presently. I greatly enjoy historical research and this new and more fulsome information will add much to this pleasurable pastime.
Thank you!
Regards,
Edwardian

Joe, if you are a member of the GGCA (German Gun Collectors Association ) you receive one. If you want one now you can buy it or maybe if Jon Spencer agre you can have one with a new membership subscription. Cheers from Belgium, Marc.

I don't know about the GGCA selling single copies. I think Marc's suggestion is a way to go. I do recommend it as it is 86 pages of high quality photography and interesting reading. The GGCA website has contact information .
Also, the Hans E Pfingsten book "German Hunting Guns of the Golden Era 1840-1940" is out. It has been finished up by his family since his death. I recommend it, too. It is for sale on the GGCA website under "new items" for sale.

The "book" in question is really "Der Waffenschmied" number 46. This is the journal of the German Gun Collectors Association, and is one(the original)of the two publications of the GGCA. As such it is included as a benefit of membership.I'm not sure if they are avaliable yet, but will be avaliable for individual sale, as avaliable. The second publication,"Waidmannsheil",somtimes mentioned on this forum, is likewise avaliable for sale. Mike
