"Daryl," how can I acquire a copy of the newly announced / released work, "Prussian Charles Daly Imports"? Presumably, a substantial number of correspondents here will be equally interested in its acquisition. This is a truly signal development, and though long anticipated, yet unexpected. The accomplishment on the part of the gentlemen mentioned who participated in this project, to include the late Hans Pfingsten, is very much appreciated and welcomed.
As a recently 'reoriented' collector and user afield of these exceptionally fine Charles Daly guns (Still weaning myself from single-mindedly collecting and shooting U.K. game guns.), largely because of what I read on this very site, my thanks to all those involved for their efforts and especially for publishing this much needed information on the subject. The dearth of information concerning the Daly guns has been daunting to those of us interested in provenance and attribution. Fortunately, for my purposes, I have always found a wealth of information on this website.
As well, on many occasions, I have received personal benefit of their respective and collective knowledge base anent Prussian Charles Daly guns, where my questions have been well-answered by these same individuals. And I look forward to being able to fill-in many of the historical gaps that puzzle me presently. I greatly enjoy historical research and this new and more fulsome information will add much to this pleasurable pastime.
