i normally shoot rst shells, but thought i would try some of B&P's shells a try. they are significantly cheaper. the primary gun these would be used in is a dickson round action, 12b, 1 1/8oz proof.
what do you think of these shells:

Clever 12G 7/8oz 1180 FPS : 500 BAR- close to 7000 PSI

VS

B&P 12G 7/8oz 1160 FPS : 400 BAR - 5804 PSI

i try not to abuse the gun, but i got it to use, and use it is what i have been doing.

what do you think about those 2 loads?

any place i can get rst pressures?

thanks!

marc

Marc--If you ask RST, they'll supply you with pressures for their shells. Might even be on line if you go to their website. That being said, I would not hesitate to use either of those shells in your gun.

I have shot both the Clever and B&P's you mention in my Purdey.
Both worked fine with little recoil. I would suggest the B&P's over the Clever though.
The 7/8 ounce Comp1's in 7 1/2 shot will really break a target with no problem.

You might look at polywad as well.

I doubt if B&P Comp I's in 1 oz loads would be a problem in your gun even with 2 1/2" chambers. They are pretty nice shells, I think.
