I took a half day at work today and went to the local gun shop to see what doubles they had and walked out with two good deals a Winchester model 21 skeet and an LC Smith eagle grade single barrel trap...I'm very excited as im a younger guy in the hobby im only 30 and I've always loved firearms was never in a position to own quality guns. My mothers cousin's husband is a serious collector of double guns and an LC Smith 8ga fanatic so he was kind of a role model to me...by first double gun purchase was a baker paragon grad with barrels replaced by flaig's in the 50s not super desirable and I sold it at a break even price. I have always lusted after highly engraved guns and love LC Smith(my dream is a crown grade double) but have a bucket list of guns so to speak the winchester 21 was first on the list and a high grade single barrel trap so I crossed two off today. Now when the wife finds out there may be a problem but I'll deal with that to own such great pieces of history. Think my collection is off to a better start now
I ran a serial number check on both LC Smith was made in 1929 and the model 21 was 1937-38(as far as I can tell based off of serials of other known guns with production letters)
