I agree that Labor Day weekend would be a good choice. The UP SXS and its successor the Great Northern have stuck with Father's Day weekend, and that does not seem to have hurt attendance. And not many hunting seasons are open yet by Labor Day.

We have booked blocks of rooms in Tunkhannock (15-20 minutes south) at both The Comfort Inn and The Hampton Inn. Both are near restaurants we'd recommend any time and both have easy access to Rt 29 and a quick drive to Rock Mountain. If they book all the rooms early they should be adding more if needed. You'd need to either fill out a registration form and send/fax it in or call the lodge and talk to Susan. The registration form is downloadable from our website or can be printed from the various SxS BBS threads for the shoot. Thanks for asking Bob.

Ladies and gents, this shoot is now 1 month away!!! Please remember that all cart rentals must be prepaid when you order them, and preregistration is important for logistics to be able to provide enough range help, trappers, birds, etc. If we have 50 preregister we will have trappers for 50. Therefore, if 150 show up, there just may be delays. We have 13 vendors booked so far. This is shaping up to be a fun event!! See you soon!!

FYI, for those with AAA memberships, if you are lodging at the Hampton Inn, you can get an even better rate by using your membership while making reservations.
