Thank you! Regensburg bovaria is a possibility. i have been tracking down my family to understand this colonel in my family to pinpoint if he was a staffer for patton, or in another division.
My father said he was at the headquarters there but they had to pack it up because they crossed the line eisenhower told him not to do. they were actually 10 miles from prague before some divisions turned back.
I hope it is as simple as patton's final headquarters/castle.

so far i found his ss#, his service number, and which boat he went to europe on. that is all i could find today.

is there an old map of this bohemian area around the 1830-1850 area? i know that before world war 1 there were different dukes and lineages that controlled different parts of this country.
im wondering if i can find the original owner.
