I am getting a T/C Contender barrel off of e-bay. It is in a caliber I have wanted for a while and is an older octagonal barrel. In my lust for the barrel I wasn't thinking too much about the octagonal part. My forend on my current set up is for bull barrels. How much of a misfit can I expect? Is the screw not going to line up? Will there be a huge gap that can't be shimmed? Does any one have an octagonal type forend they could part with? I am not seeing any helpful hints on the company website. Is there a Contender BBS as good this? (I know the answer to that already, but how about "almost" as good as this?)
Thanks,
Lou M
