Oak & Leather are for display/storage. For travel you may want a softcase if by vehicle for hunting or target shooting or a Motor Case for more protection if needed. A Motor Case holds the disasembled shotgun with the frame/stock vertically, resulting in a smaller footprint. I had one made for a 2" Brit boxlock that i have. The Oak/Leather cases I have are very heavy and for display/storage only. For airline travel, Americase or similar is the only way to go. My next Motor Case will be from Dan Walter
