Here is your chance to do the board a favor.
While you have this gun apart, please look for holes bored oversize or askew, signs of improperly hardened parts, and evidence of peening.
I had a 209H for a time that was a little later vintage than this one, but had ... problems.
Take some pics if you find any evidence of premature wear, and post them here.
TIA
Out there doing it best I can.

TIA First thing I did while taking it apart and immediately after. Nothing significant found. Machining on the interior is not of the standard you would see on a contemporary Grulla, but otherwise sound.

Be thankful your gun has two triggers....MY UA215 also known as "El Diablo" can't decide if it wants to shoot twice in succession. (single selective trigger). I've also had to re-time one ejector. Not many rounds on this gun. I'd shoot it a lot if the damn thing would just go off!
Dodging lions and wasting time.....

Kyrie,
On the inside of each lock there is, for lack of a better description, 'Three Leaf' stamp.
Would you know, if any, meaning this has? I'll try to get a picture this evening.

I couldn't do anything with the staining of the nickel finish, but the rest came out rather well. Have you considered ultra-fine bead blasting? With a small detail unit it's pretty effective, and mild. I've tested it on some old engraved lockplates, the corrosion is removed with no visible loss of engraving, and no "peening". Ken

I prefer wood to plastic, leather to nylon, waxed cotton to Gore-Tex, and split bamboo to graphite.
