Can't seem to pull the trigger on spending the money for a couple of new oak and leather cases. I don't store my guns in a case (they are put in the safe barrels down) and the majority of the time I break them down into soft cases for hunting trips. But those guns were an old superpose and a well used bss. The RBL has its own canvas case which I normally use for trips but I've acquired a couple of nice old English doubles that probably need a bit more TLC. I do have a couple of nice browning canvas and leather cases but they just don't look right lying under a browning label.
I guess the question is whether or not they need a custom case for protection? And, does the oak offer three times the protection as a canvas considering that's the price increase for oak?
