Skeettx: Thank you, from your Remington Society tables, it should be August of 1925. Shouldn't the barrel codes be active by that date?

Researcher: OK, on the top of the barrel it's marked Remington Arms Company, Ilion, New York. 1903 and 1906 patents. On the solid side of the receiver it's marked:

Remington
Trade Mark
Model 10
245000

The butt plate says Remington UMC. From 1908 to 1910 it was my understanding they weren't identified as Model 10s. Union Metallic Cartridge is part of the logo after 1910 to 1916? I guess I don't follow the part after that. After 1921, I thought dating became quite easy from the barrel codes?
