Just want to wish you good luck w/your book! I will buy a copy as well when it is completed. FWIW, I think your perspective is just fine for content. I would not exclude the chapters on the pump & other configuration guns as there is an audience of users for those guns as well, primarily the snow goose hunters along the Texas coast who use them with VERY stout steel shot loads. Again the 'built like a tank' phrase comes to mind. Their sound construction and over building has certainly served that group of shooters well ... and from what I know of some of their practices, they need all the extra margin of safety possible;-)
Thank you for your recent link as well. I am always amazed at the different and exquisitely executed engraving found on some of the few higher grade Russian guns I've been able to examine or see pictures of. I'd hope too that you might gain access to some of those guns for another book dealing w/that subject alone.
