I would still like to see a close up of the engraver's mark. I was thinking that it may have been Ron's work, because of the Canadian connection, but I don't have his mark in my files and would like to add it.

Regarding the progression marks, Your comment points up the problem of trying to assess or evaluate engraving from a photo. There is no substitute for having the gun in hand.
