Paul Harm Sidelock Joined: Oct 2004 Posts: 1,826 Likes: 12 attica , mi	I have a 1873 Remington hammer lifter gun. In 1875 they still used the lifter design, but dropped the hammer cocking part. The " ears" on the hammers were small and would break. They then went to a rebounding hammer design like others were using.
