I'll look at it when we down to Mom's and get some more pics. Right now it's all packed up and ready to go. We head to the airport soon.
No the gun did not come from Cabela's. It came from my buddy that I work with. He bought it 10 years ago in Texas. He did a little preliminary work with it, verifying the rifle chambering and locating brass. By then he was on to something else and it spent the last ten years in his safe.
He said he has a copy of a gun magazine article that featured this gun. He couldn't remember which magazine but said he'd try to find the copy when he gets back home. That will be a while. He's on a six week hitch this go around.
I had it with me at my best friend's house this afternoon. He has a little gun shop in his home. While we visited one of his regular customers stopped by. The fellow was instantly smitten with it. I thought he was going to try to buy it on the spot. I need to play with it a little first and assured him it wasn't for sale .......yet.
