recased as he says in the description. I just bought a SW from Frank and he described it perfectly. That gun shown looks like charcoal to me.

And the front of the receiver on the bottom where the colors track over two different pieces? Bone charcoal to the pieces done in situ together during the process? Jake

Does look like there's some correspondance and continuity between trigger plate and action bar. Maybe they were together? If it's torch work, it's awfully good and awfully monochromatic as I don't see the concentric "heat" colors or bulleyes. I've got to the place where I'm just as happy with a few squiggles of cold blue. Cheaper and no potential warpage.

Price is right. OOPS, maybe a little high for that lever position. A lot of work to sell a gun for $655.00. There is a seat for every butt, I guess.

It could well be that the gun was not completely disassembled during the case coloring, in an attempt to prevent warping. This would make sense especially if the gun had previously been redone.
I saw a 16ga SW today that had been recased. It showed some of the same traits. The seller at first told me he had done the work. As I began to question him, about his source of bone charcoal, etc, he admitted he had the work done by Ohio Case Color. It showed the same muted colors as this gun.
