Now I'm jealous. Dewey, your work continues to impress. I hope you can give us as much detailed and often updates on this gun.
Not judging, just asking: on a 32" gun such as this, would it not be a better choice to have a long, sweeping semi-pistol grip that would still give the racy look, yet offer substantially better control? I understand the sex appeal of the straight grip, but shootability comes into play at some point, especially on a big boomer.

The original Bo Whoop was a straight gripped Super-Fox with XE-Grade wood and engraving and no safety. Later it was restocked by Burt Becker to match Nash's gun of the pair of HDE's that Henry Bartholomew had made for himself and Nash to use at his estate.  These are the two guns in their original livery as pictured in the original Derrydale edition of Ole' Miss. Nash's gun of the Bartholomew pair was later restocked with a full pistol grip and had a safety added. Bo Whoop II was made with a full pistol grip and a safety.

The Buckingham-Bartholomew-Becker clone on which Dewey did the metal work for me was originally planned to be a round knob, tight curve pistol grip. However, at this time, it is being stocked in a straight grip with extended forend that should make it very long and lean looking, like the one Dewey pictures here. If I can be so bold, my BBB gun is as good an example of metal work and fitting that I have seen from a custom shotgun maker. Bill Murphy

What metal finish is planned for the action? The gun seems to have a very modern feel, I can't help but think a traditional CCH finish would detract from that.
In my dreams that gun would have a French grey finish and very dark wood.
Beautiful work, I love the reshaping, subtle yet remarkable changes.
