Its a great gun, Larry. I'd happily use it the rest of my life. But, being a boxlock, being a French boxlock, and having that huge wart of a name deeply chiseled into the top of the barrel, would make resale just about impossible, at anything but a true bargain basement price.
As that dealer is going to find out.
I had spent a lot of time looking at that gun before it ever came up as a subject here, on the board, and if anybody could make an attempt to rationalize it's purchase, it would be me.
But, not at that price.
I don't have any tatoos, domestic or imported, and that gun would be just like a tatoo.
Hard to get rid of. Expensive to get rid of.
