Hard to argue that point, but I sure don't understand why, other than cultural stereotypes. Based on my limited experience, it can't be explained by quality considerations. The French makers avoided the "JABC" and Spanish "POS" quality issues, but still remain off the radar screen for most American doublegun buyers.
