I got the parts. The stock had been cut for a Lyman 48 and I wonder if there is a mess under the Redfield sight. But Fred said he once replaced one of these old Redfields with a 48 and the holes worked. I know that the later Redfields won't line up right using 48 holes.

Glad you got it Dan. We would be interested in your thoughts once you get it apart and have a closer look at it. As Bryndon mentioned, the little curve at the back of the grip checkering should be a clue as to who might have stocked it.
