jt.. i have a promatic ranger. it has a 6 stack carousel that holds 285 targets. ive thrown close to 30K worth of targets over the course of 6 yrs on my machine and it just keeps going. i would stay away from throwers that use some type of pinch system to support the stack while the bottom target drops down next to the arm. tricky business that is. find something that uses a knife system, has few moving parts and has a good reputation. if you intend on using it alot, this machine will pay itself off in the first pallet or two of targets.
