B. Dudley Sidelock Joined: Feb 2011 Posts: 1,405 Rochester, NY	I have a Rem 17 here so I pulled it out and checked it out to see what it would do. When holding the trigger down and pumping to the second round, it fires when releasing the trigger. So, no the 17 is not slam fire. B.Dudley
