Gunsaholic I appreciate your advice. On a few items I can save but lo and behold I was stripping down the gun this evening and to my surprise someone has removed the firing pins everything else in place including the springs removed the side plates and the part that comes up to cover the crystal cocking indicator on one side is broken and the piece missing. It is rapidly becoming a very nice mantle piece. But I remain very attracted to the piece because of the design, over lever cocking mechanism, the fit to metal is superb and the engraving is really outstanding for a gun of this quality and era. Dang the sentimental value of these old guns can really creep up on you.
