I have been working on this Krag manlicher for Jerry Liles for awhile now. I thought I would tease him and prove I really am working on it. I sent him these photos of it in the white. He asked me to share them with the group.

Very nice execution of a Mannlicher stock. I am glad to see that the fore end is somewhat "swamped" as it needs to be to avoid that "clubby" look.

In casual conversation over another project I just happened to mention to Steve that I had always liked how slick a Krag worked and rather liked the .30-40 as a woods cartridge and that we had developed a hog problem here from feral pigs. A few months later he called and said he had a nice Krag action on a badly bubbaed rifle that would make a dandy walkabout carbine hog rifle. This is the result - lightweight, stocked much like double shotgun for offhand snap shooting and easy carrying. I need to be more careful what I mention in casual conversation. No telling what will result.
