Picked this up with a really nice .32 Flobert from the son of the vet that brought them back. Unfortunately the single shot shotgun has been reblued but is very light, and nicely made. Only markings are serial number 22 externally and a line of print on top of barrel that reblue has made impossible to read, almost looks like cyrillic at this point. Took barrel off to get shots of many marks under barrel. Gauges out at over .28 gauge. What is this thing guys? Here is link to gunboards topic as I seem to not be allowed to post photos.

Thanks as usual Raimey, any idea what size shell it would take? 410 seems the most common, The Flobert is a .32 but also unmarked, more of a garden gun.

Raimey,
129,43= 8.38mm(330"). It is proofed for single projectile, if it is rifled,it would be a 9mm. If smooth bore, between 8 and 9mm, and 32 is a little small. Is it centerfire or rimfire? 9.1x40R is almost within range, and was avaliable with shot or bullet.I doubt it is 9.1 as it was powerful enough for Reh,before the caliber restrictions,and the gun might not hold it.These comments are for the bolt gun.

OK, Assuming the boltgun is is the one that is smoothbore rimfire, the 9.1x40R is ruled out.It is still proofed for a single projectile(ball/bullet), and it has rifle sights. There was 9mm rimfire ammo avaliable with shot and with ball.My uneducated guess is this gun is intended for 9mm Rimfire.If you can make a chamber cast and provide dimensions, this guess can be verified or refuted.Some versions of 9mm rimfire ammo is still avaliable,the version I have looks like a necked cartridge,perhaps it is intended for a 8.38mm bore.
