I live in Japan and had the opportunity to purchase what appears to be a very fine Japanese shotgun, the only problem, I can't find any info on the gun online/books etc. It's like the gun never existed. It was sold as a Yamauchi but I can't find anything online to support this. Here is the info engraved into the barrel and how it was sold to me:
"Crown G. Yamauchi Works Tokyo Japan"
There didn't appear to be any proof marks on it, but I will have to check again later when I have the gun in my hands. I've searched online to find one with a similar receiver shape and have found nothing. One of my theorys is that it is another brand (not marked) and the Yamauchi is the man who made it. Any input from my friends here on DGS would be great. I'll try to post more pictures when I get them.
