To JNW I bought a new 12b Poli hammer gun.It is beautiful. The sidelocks had to have the parts HARDENED! The left barrel will fire some brands of ammo sometimes. I will sell this gun for $9500 and swallow the cost of hardening and the $3000 difference in the original price. danc

I like the 30" single trigger RBL a lot.

I have found single triggers on side by side guns problematic.
My recommendation would be to get double triggers. I don't recommend this because the single makes you a heretic but because, in my experience, single triggers on doubles are a problem (except for the Winchester 21). The Browning BSS single triggers are just about flawless. Berettas are pretty darn good, too. SRH Fair enough. I have never owned either gun.
I am glad to be here.

I shot my 20 gauge straight grip GHE Remington Parker with factory SST for many years back when Georgia had plenty of birds and it balked only one time, failing to fire second barrel. Bobby

Just looked at the B Rizzini 28 gauge SxS. Nice guns. I think you can also get custom dimensions and they have 30" barrels. Jeff

In that price range I would consider Ferlib.

Chapuis RP roundbodies can be ordered in 28 gauge, and would be in the $8k price range including upcharges for subgauge, SNST and PG. William Larkin Moore has info about them on their website ChapuisFurther off the beaten path, and likely over $8k: SIACE (more reliable Italian SSTs, but monoblock barrels if that matters) Verney Carron MBAG Verney Carron Kebco
Such a long, long time to be gone, and a short time to be there.
