I'm aware there are some folks on the forum who have had bad experiences with Macon and have been quite harsh. I suppose that's why we have the expression "YMMV".
Speaking purely for myself and based on my experience, I'm happy with Macon. The San Martin is the third side lock Macon has re-stocked for me and I've been more than satisfied with what I had for my money on all three guns. I've just put a fourth gun in the mail to them, to be re-stocked, and have am considering two more.
